About Me

David Pitts holds a bachelor’s degree in English / Secondary Education and a Master's in Management of Information Systems.  As a researcher, author, and public speaker, he serves as a strategic executive and technical authority with more than forty years of experience leading national and international technology and security programs for government clients (including NASA, the FAA, and USAID) and state clients (including Indiana, Mississippi, Maryland, and Connecticut).  His commercial experience includes universities, healthcare, and other industries (including Vanderbilt, Sutter Health, IBM, and Boeing).   A published author of nine technical books on operating systems and programming, he has served as a CEO, CISO, and Director of Technology and Security for global organizations. Based in the Washington, D.C. area, Mr. Pitts holds multiple certifications, including Certified CISO, CISSP, and PMP, and maintains an active Secret clearance.
